J&K Reports 444 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 4 Deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 444 new covid-19 cases while four more people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

They said 138 of fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 306 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 313028.

Regarding deaths, the officials told GNS that two each were reported from Jammu Division and Kashmir respectively, taking the fatality count 4273.

Providing the district-wide details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 98 cases, Baramulla 34, Budgam 40, Pulwama 40, Kupwara 25, Anantnag 40, Bandipora 17, Ganderbal 19, Kulgam 11, Shopian 3, Jammu 20, Udhampur 9, Rajouri 23, Doda 25, Kathua 6, Samba 3, Kishtwar 9, Poonch 17, Ramban 8 and Reasi 18.

Moreover, they said, 839 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—250 from Jammu Division and 589 from Kashmir. 301973 patients have recovered so far, leaving active cases at 6782—2505 in Jammu and 4277 in Kashmir.

One new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) has been reported today, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 26 in J&K.

A number of fresh covid-19 cases were confirmed at diagnostic labouratories of CD hospital here and GMC Anantnag.
