DAK appreciates General public for following Covid-19 SOPs

Vaccination and SOPS effective tool to prevent 3rd wave

Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today held an E-meeting under the presidentship of Dr Mohd Yusuf Tak which was attended by Dr Suhail Naik (Ex-DAK President), Dr Owais H Dar (General Secy DAK), Dr Mir Asharaf (Sr Vice President), Dr Arshed H Trag (Vice President ), Dr Fayaz Ahmed Bhat and Dr Imtiyaz Banday (Spokespersons) and Joint Secretaries including Dr Aijaz Ahmad, Dr Adil Wani, Dr Bilal Beigh, Dr Naseer Tak, Dr Zakir Hussain and Dr Qayoom Lone, Dr Basharat H Shah among others.

Two Committees were framed one of whom will actively follow DAK files of demands at Civil Secretariat and other Committee will choose Election Commissioner and sort out measures so that DAK elections are held as soon as possible.

Meanwhile President DAK, Dr Mohd Yusuf Tak thanked General public for their Cooperation in actively following Covid-19 SOPs and participating in Vaccination which has not only flattened the curve but also ensured its downward trend. He hailed the efforts of Doctors, Paramedics and other health care workers for their dedication and determination in fighting against Covid-19 Pandemic.

General Secretary DAK, Dr Owais H Dar said that to prevent the occurrence of 3rd Covid wave, it is duty of all of us at individual level, family level and community level to keep following Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) especially using Masks, practicing Hand hygiene and Avoiding social gatherings apart from getting Vaccinated (Jab) against Covid as early as possible so that herd immunity is achieved at the community level after 70- 80% population is Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19.

Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) requests the Government to install more Oxygen Generation plants across the Union territory, atleast 5000 LPM oxygen Generation plants at District level Hospitals apart from other necessary logistics. Atleast 10 to 20 Dedicated ICU beds for critical Covid19 Patients need to be started at North and South Kashmir before God forbid 3rd wave strikes.

Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) further requests the Hon’ble LG of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha to take serious note of our long pending demands which the Association again submitted to your good office in our last meeting especially monthly risk allowances, Caderisation, Restoration of Administrative Seniority, two and half day salary and absorption of unemployed Dental Surgeons through JKPSC and in NHM.
