JK reports 187 fresh Covid positive cases, 470502 recovered

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 26: The Government today informed that 187 fresh positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) have been reported today; 39from Jammu division and 148 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 477119. Also, 01 COVID death has been reported from Jammu division.

Moreover, 35 2more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 41 from Jammu division and 311 from Kashmir division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 477119 positive cases, 1835 are Active Positive (329 in Jammu Division and 1506 in Kashmir Division), 470502 have recovered and 4782 have died; 2350 in Jammu division and 2432 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin also informs that 16,855 doses of COVID Vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours across Jammu and Kashmir bringing the cumulative number of doses administered to 2,42,17,107 till date.

The Bulletin further said that out of 26414736 test results available, 477119 samples have tested positive and 25937617 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 10,375 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Till date 6699085 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 152 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1835 in isolation and 373in home surveillance. Besides, 6691943 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, the Bulletin informs that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 48 cases, Baramulla reported 19 cases, Budgam 34 cases, Pulwama reported 07 cases, Kupwara reported 07 cases, Anantnag reported 13 cases, Bandipora reported 03 cases, Ganderbal reported 10cases, Kulgam reported 04 cases while as Shopian reported 03 fresh cases for today.

Similarly in Jammu division, Jammu reported 25 cases, Udhampur 03, Rajouri 00, Doda 01, Kathua 00, Samba 10, Kishtwar 01, Poonch 00, Ramban 07 and Reasi also reported no fresh case for today.
