Divisional Commissioner Jammu visits Sukrala Mata Shrine, reviews civic amenitiesKATHUA, JUNE 11: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today visited revered Sukrala Mata Shrine in Billawar, where he reviewed the facilities for devotees.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kathua Dr. Rakesh Minhas, ADC Billawar Vinay Khosla and other sectoral officers, he also inspected the progress of development works in the area.

The Divisional Commissioner paid obeisance at the Holy Shrine and took stock of the facilities available for the devotees including the provision of drinking water in and around the shrine. The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti informed that the water supply is being provided to devotees and adjioning areas from a Tube Well.

Responding to the demands raised by the locals, the Divisional Commissioner assured that the possibility of extending the parking area near the shrine will be actively explored for the convenience of pilgrims and tourists. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to resolve genuine issues in a phased and time-bound manner for hassle free pilgrimage experience at the shrine.

Later, the Divisional Commissioner visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) and reviewed the progress of work on its new building.

Observing that certain portions of the building are near completion, the Divisional Commissioner directed the executing agency to immediately hand over the completed portion of the project so that the Health Department can start the operations, especially the gynecology ward without further delay.

He also emphasized timely completion of the entire project to enhance healthcare delivery in the region.

Later, the Divisional Commissioner visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) and reviewed the progress of work on its new building.
