DC Kupwara reviews progress under PM Surya Ghar- Muft Bijli Yojana

Stresses on maximum enrolments under the Yojana to mitigate power supply issues of people

KUPWARA, JUNE 4: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the latest progress under PM Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana.
On the occasion, DC expressed her dismay over the dismal performance of the scheme in the district and asked the officers to avoid the indifferent approach towards the work and ensure saturation of the scheme in the district.
She emphasized the need for maximum enrolment of the beneficiaries under the Yojana which aims at mitigating the power supply issues of the people and reducing their electricity charges up to zero.
To speed up the pace of the scheme, DC said that the progress will be monitored down to the JE level on regular intervals, besides, monitoring at sub division and division level. She warned about the action against the officers who do not show interest towards achievement of the targets.
It was given out that the KPDCL shall conduct the awareness cum enrollment camps every day during the next two weeks beginning from tomorrow. They shall begin with holding of the enrollment drive tomorrow in D.C Office Complex and RDD Complex Kupwara to intensify the outreach of the PM Surya Ghar- Muft Bijli Yojana.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineers of KPDCL Kupwara/Handwara, CPO, AEEs, District Manager CSC and other concerned.
