Dr. Andrabi Pays Homage at Sain Baba Miran Sahib Poonch, Heralds Peace in J&K

‌Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, paid obeisance at the Sufi Shrine of Sain Baba Miran Sahib in Poonch district, accompanied by Dr. Amir Hussain, CEO of the Waqf Board, and other officials on Thursday.

 

Acknowledged warmly by the local community for her efforts in revitalizing the Waqf Board into a transparent and dynamic institution, Dr. Andrabi toured the shrine’s premises, assessing facilities for devotees and infrastructural needs.

During her visit, Dr. Andrabi convened a meeting with Board officers to strategize improvements for the shrine’s facilities. She also engaged with various public delegations, addressing their concerns and discussing important issues. Furthermore, she chaired a meeting with religious leaders, including prominent figures such as Mufti Farooq Misbahi, Khateeb Jamia Masjid Poonch, Maulana Syed Fida Hussain and others.

‌Speaking to media Dr Darakhshan said that fortunately law and order situation in J&K has improved a lot and it was pleasing to see Pir Panjal region thriving with development activities.

 

“After decades of violence, we are living in Peaceful J&K now and we all have the responsibility of sustaining this era of peace so that we are able to grant a peaceful and progressive future to our youth”,  said Dr Darakhshan.

 

She thanked the people for supporting Waqf Board’s mission of development and assured them that in the days to come, this momentum of the Board will further strengthen infrastructure at our Sufi spiritual shrines.
