Srinagar, Jan 25: Danish Manzoor Bhat of Newsweek, honored as Media Person of the Year, has announced to secure the future of two young orphan girls, one from the Kashmir region and the other from Jammu. Media luminary Danish Manzoor Pledges Financial Support for Orphan Girls in J&K

Understanding the challenges faced by orphans, Danish commits to matching the award money with a personal donation, totaling ₹51,000 for each girl (total ₹1,02,000). These funds will be strategically placed in fixed deposit accounts, ensuring growth over time, and becoming accessible to the girls when they turn 18, providing a substantial financial foundation.

Danish articulates his vision, stating, ‘In a world where every step forward counts, it’s our collective duty to ensure those who start with less can look forward to more.’ This initiative, a beacon of hope, invests in the dreams, education, and future independence of the girls.

“This initiative represents a beacon of hope and a promise of a better tomorrow. As a media professional, my role has always been to highlight stories that matter. Today, I am privileged to be a part of a story that will hopefully inspire and encourage others to contribute positively to society. Let’s work together to create a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive,” he added.
